Reducing odour from sewer: result from accompanying environmental psychology studies. The Vienna Municipal Government launched a large-scale study in 1999 in order to reduce odour emission from sewers. The selected method was tested for several years, and the technicians responsible summoned the help of environmental psychologists to evaluate the results. This was indented to yield information not only on the purely technical aspects, but to consider the effect of the test from residents' point of view.
