DISINFECTION EFFICIENCY OF PERACETIC ACID, UV AND OZONE AFTER ENHANCED PRIMARY TREATMENT OF MUNICIPAL WASTEWATER
Disinfection of municipal wastewater. In the city of Montreal wastewater treatment plant, peracetic acid, UV and ozone were applied to remove fecal coliforms. The different oxidants are also compared on Clostridium perfringens inactivation. The doses applied are very high and are not economically viable. Thus, changes to the plant will be needed.
