DETECTION OF ENTEROVIRUSES IN TREATED DRINKING WATER
Monitoring of drinking water supplies for the presence of enterovirus over an one-year period by the classical microbiological methods (i.e., concentration of virus coupled to cell cultures) and by a new RT-PCR technic - Coliform bacteria and coliphages were searched - Viable enterovirus were detected in water samples even if the other microbiological parameters were negative.
