PREVALENCE OF HUMAN ADENOVIRUSES IN RAW AND TREATED WATER

Assessment of the optimised cell culture molecular-based technique to determine the prevalence of human adenovirus in various quality of surface water in South Africa - Virus monitoring was performed over an one-year period in raw and treated drinking water supplies – Good efficiency of nested-PCR – Detection of HA in 29.8% of raw water and 44% in river-water samples.
