The capacity and packets delivery of MANET On Road: MANETOR
IVC based on MANET has attracted the interests of many automobile manufactures and researchers. In this paper, the capacity and packets delivery are investigated. Throught the theoretical analyse of MANETOR (MANET On Road), it is clear that the capacity of MANETOR is limited, and a pipe model allowing to estimate the capacity of MANETOR is proposed. Due to limited capacity, packets delivery is difficult in MANETOR. In fact some communication patterns in MANET, such as broadcasting and cross traffic, impact on the packets delivery in MANETOR, specially broadcasting. In some degree, broadcasting`s affect is larger than capacity. The result of simulation in ns2 has indicated it.
