Capacity and packets delivery analysis of MANET On Road
IVC based on MANET has attracted the interests of many automobile manufactures and researchers. The MANET in IVC is named as MANETOR (MANET On Road). In this paper, the capacity and packets delivery are investigated. Thought the theoretical analyse of MANETOR, it is clear that the capacity of MANETOR is limited, and a pipe model allowing to estimating the capacity of MANETOR is proposed. With limited capacity, packets delivery is hard in MANETOR. In fact some communication patterns in MANET, such as broadcasting and cross traffic, will impact the packets delivery in MANETOR. The probability model of packet delivery success is evaluated and three methods to improve the PDR(Packets delivery Ratio) of MANETOR are proposed. And they are proved by simulation in ns2. / Cet article présente une évaluation des performances des MANET appliqué à la problématique de la communication inter-véhicule.
