UV degradation by-products of insecticides. Carbofuran (50 mg/L) was oxidized with high pressure UV lamp at a Power close to 125 W. 8 by-products were identified and quantified as a function of time and the insecticide was removed after 120 min. A kinetic approach shows the intermediate compound concentrations. Toxicity is evaluated.
