USE OF IRON(VI) AND IRON(V) IN WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT

Oxidation by iron ions. Utilization of Fe(VI) and Fe(V) is presented to remove amino acids, hydrogen sulfide and cyanide from water. The reactions are described, the half-lives of pollutants are determined and the rate constants have been calculated from experimental kinetics.
