Statistical methods were developed to verify the effets of groundwater protection by early and repeatable quantification. The conventional methods of time-series statistics were replaced by quantitative methods of spatial geometry statistics. These methods use a large set of spatial data, and they pursue the aim to assess the significance of changes in groundwater quality also for shorter periods (2-3 years). They may be use useable for setting up an early-warning system.
