SUBSTRATE CONCENTRATION-INDEPENDENT AEROBIC GRANULATION IN SEQUENTIAL AEROBIC SLUDGE BLANKET REACTOR

Aerobic granule studies in a sequential aerobic reactor. High COD concentration wastewater was treated with a sequential aerobic sludge blanket reactor. The formation of aerobic granules is found to be independent of the initial concentrations. The hydrophobicity and surface of granules are studied as a function of operating conditions.
