STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE PERFORMANCE OF A BIOLOGICAL NUTRIENT-REMOVAL PLANT

Statistical analysis of wastewater treatment plant data. In the case of activated sludge, data on nutrient removal are analyzed in order to find key parameters to control phosphorus and nitrogen concentration in the effluents. Sludge blanket depth and initial pollutant levels were found as the most important parameters. Correlations between short chain fatty acids in the anaerobic zone, oxidized nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations were found.
