SLUDGE THICKENING PERFORMANCE OF MESH FILTRATION PROCESS

Development of an alternative sludge thickening process (with high performance and easy to operate) for small-scale wastewater treatment. This article examines the performance of the mesh filtration process with a bench scale apparatus taking into account different parameters. Due to decrease of hydraulic pressure and increase of thickness of an accumulated sludge layer the filtration rate decrease in time. Results show that the sludge reduction rate is in range of 85-95 % for 6-7 h.
