PROGRESS IN SENSOR TECHNOLOGY - PROGRESS IN PROCESS CONTROL ? PART II : RESULTS FROM A SIMULATION BENCHMARK STUDY
Dynamic simulation of activated sludge systems as a proven tool for testing and optimising control strategies. The ideal or simplified sensor model which are comenly used represent a limiting factor as regards comparability to field application.Description of sensor be applied to optimise existing control systems consisting of measurement and control equipment. Others sensors models are designed with respect to the COST benchmarck simulation framework. Demonstration of the impact of measuring equipment on the control result by the test of four controllers using an ideal sensor model and a sensor model with a reponse time of 40 minutes.
