ORGANOTIN SURVEY IN THE ADOUR?GARONNE BASIN

Monitoring program performed during 9 months in eleven representative rivers of the Adour-Garonne basin (southwest of France). Using a chemometrics-based approach, correlation between organotin concentrations and other physico-chemical parameters were established leading to the identification of the main organotin sources of introduction (industrial, agricultural). The results obtained allow the comprehension of the hydrological cycle of the different compounds of organotin sources (phenyltins, butyltins, octyltins) to be better understood.
