MODERNISIERUNG DES ZWECKVERBANDES WASSERVERSORGUNG UND ABWASSERBEHANDLUNG RUGEN DURCH EIN INTEGRIERTES MANAGEMENTSYSTEM

Since about three years, all activities of the company, which is in charge of water supply and wastewater disposal on the Baltic Sea islands of Rugen and Hiddensee, are successfully controlled and coordinated with the help of an integrated management system. By including the staff into the development of the system, a customised system focusing on the needs of the company has been developed, which did not only obtain DIN EN 1509001 and 14001 certification easily but which is also practiced and further developed by the staff. A similar approach fished by the German Association for Water Management, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) has been used for the development of the system.
