MODELING OF DISINFECTION CONTACTOR HYDRAULICS UNDER UNCERTAINTY
Fluid dynamics in a disinfection contactor. In order to determine the performances in a disinfection reactor, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models were carried out. The residence time distribution (RTD) is predicted. An uncertainty analysis using Monte Carlo probabilistic techniques was used to get the sensitivity of the model to the operating conditions (dimensionless numbers). Experimental data got in a full-scale system were compared with calculated values.
