MEASURES FOR STRUCTURAL IMPROVEMENT WITH REGARD TO THE GOOD STATUS OF WATER BODIES - ESTIMATION OF EXPENDITURE FOR A RIVER BASIN IN GERMANY
Improvement of the hydromorphology of the river Ruhr in order to achieve a good chemical and ecological status in water bodies as stipulated by the European Water Framework Directive. Upgrading measures for wastewater and stormwater treatments. Specific costs are in the range of 200 million to 1 billion , that is 100 to 500 per inhabitant.
