INFILTRATION AND REDISTRIBUTION OF LNAPL INTO UNSATURATED LAYERED POROUS MEDIA

Description of laboratory experiments with inclined sand layers. LNAPL infiltration in sandy tank. Wetting and non-wetting relative permeability related to the capillary pressure head for fine and coarse sands. Measurement and analysis of hydraulic parameters. A set of equations is solved with multivariable residual based Newton-Raphson iteration technique. A 2D model is used and observations and simulation results are compared. Saturation contours are given for different time intervals. Sensitivity analysis of varied parameters.
