Seasonal rhythms of sediment deposition and scouring in the Laval and Moulin channel networks (experimental basin of Draix, France)
In the southern French Alps, the black marl formation covers a large area. It is very sesitive to weathering and erosion and presents a characteristics badlands morphology with V-shaped gullies and high levels of solid transport during floods. Many studies on similar badlands basins have demonstrated the variability of this terrain's erosional response to a rainfall event. This work identifies four types of rainfall-erosion situations.
