Pathologie des Delphinidae: contamination foetale et neo-natale par les PCB. Lesion cutanees ulceratives.
Contamination of Delphinidae's fetuses and newborn has been determined from the organochlorine levels found in the fetuses and pregnant female organs, and in the milk of lactating females, for 4 dolphins and 3 porpoises. High levels of these components show an important transference of mother's contamination to their fetuses and new-born. The examination of 69 ulcerative cutaneous lesions allowed to determine 5 main types of ulcerations with pyocytary necrosis and granulomatous reaction.
