Gestion des plantes aquatiques dans les lacs et les étangs landais

The climate of the Aquitaine region has promoted the growth of exotic plant species for the past 25 to 30 years. Three species have considerably invaded the sides of the littoral waterbodies where they created variable difficulties. Faced with these difficulties, a study was conducted in 1988-1989. A cartographic approach has improved the analysis of the distribution of the species, and their mode of colonization. The management plan included emergency interventions, technical trials and extension efforts aimed at promoting interventions at the beginning of the invasion period. A study of the operations conducted since 1988 has permitted to draw the first conclusions on the technical means available, the difficulties encountered in the organization and development of a management program of aquatic plants in multi-use waterbodies. / Le climat aquitain favorise l'installation d'espèces végétales exotiques depuis 25 à 30 ans. Trois espèces ont considérablement envahi la frange de plans d'eau du littoral où elles engendrent des difficultés variables. Devant l'augmentation des difficultés, une étude a été réalisée en 1988-1989. Une approche cartographique a permis de mieux analyser la répartition des espèces et leurs modes de colonisation des milieux. Le plan de gestion comportait des interventions "urgentes", des essais de techniques (moissonneurs aquatiques et herbicides) et des efforts de formation destinés à favoriser des interventions sur les milieux en début "d'invasion". L'examen des opérations entreprises depuis 1988 permet de dresser un premier bilan des moyens techniques disponibles, des difficultés d'organisation et de mise en oeuvre d'une gestion des plantes aquatiques dans des plans d'eau multi-usages.
