VACUUM ULTRAVIOLET IRRADIATION FOR NATURAL ORGANIC MATTER REMOVAL
Comparison of the effects of radiation from low pressure mercury vapour lamps producing UV plus VUV or UV only, alone and in combination with hydrogen peroxide, as a treatment for Natural Organic Matter (NOM) removal. For the natural water treated, the most effective process for DOC concentration and chromophore reduction was irradiation at 254 plus 185 nm (H-lamp) in the presence of H2O2.
