USING ECONOMIC LOSS FUNCTIONS TO VALUE URBAN WATER SCARCITY IN CALIFORNIA
The ability to estimate economic losses is useful in assessing the benefit of infrastructure and management alternatives and water conservation measures for comparison with their implantation costs. This study applies these functions to estimate of 2020 urban water deliveries to assess urban water user scarcity costs for California. This article summarises the methods and assumptions used to develop economic values and results are presented and discussed.
