URBAN DRAINAGE WITHOUT SEWERS ?
Concepts in closing the nutrient loop in urban drainage are summarised and illustrated by two case studies. Studies ecological sanitation systems prove the high efficiency of separating nutrients on site and treating them for further use in agriculture. All kinds of urban water are treated on site and discharged to the local surface or ground water and afterwards nutrients are transported to the agricultural soil. Studies urban drainage could be realised without sewers and on a high level of sustainability.
