TOWARDS POVERTY ALLEVIATION : THE WATER SECTOR PERSPECTIVES
Report on the causes of poverty in developing and densely populated countries with particular reference to the pattern of access to water supply in the context of regular water-related catastrophes such as floods, cyclones and river bank erosion. Case study of the national water policy of Bangladesh encompassing different elements of water resource management with a holistic approach and focus on the various uses of water and categories of users. The goal of that policy is firstly to respond to the water needs of the poorest people in the society.
