TOWARDS A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF TETRACHLOROETHENE ENTRY PRESSURE IN THE MATRIX OF PERMO-TRIASSIC SANDSTONES
Permo-triassic sandstones geology and hydrology are presented Methods , sample selection and preparation of plugs are described. Capillary pressure, interconnected porosity and pore size distribution measurements are given .Measurement of solvent entry pressure in consolidated media, weak nitric acid extraction and chemical analysis are discussed. Relationship between pore diameter and height of DNAPL is given. A conceptual model for the pore scale structure and the effect of surface chemistry on PCE contact angle is proposed.
