TEMPERATURE MODELING IN ACTIVATED SLUDGE SYSTEMS : A CASE STUDY
Heat and mass transfer modelling in an activated sludge reactor. A model of temperature dynamics, based on general activated sludge system equations, residence time distribution and heat balance, were proposed. This model was applied to a wastewater biological treatment plant. Good agreement was found between experimental and calculated data.
