SUSTAINABLE STORMWATER CONCEPTS AS AN ESSENTIAL INSTRUMENT FOR RIVER BASIN MANAGEMENT

Reconstruction program of rainwater pipings and retention basins of the Emscher river catchment (a tributary of lower Rhine River), a densely populated area with coal minings and steel works. This rainwater and flood events management program will be completed by around 2015 and will cost 4 millions Euros.
