STRIKING THE BALANCE : LONG-TERM GROUNDWATER MONITORING DESIGN FOR CONFLICTING OBJECTIVES
Using of high order Pareto optimization (optimizing a system for more than two objectives) in the balanced design of water resources systems. In this paper high order parrot optimization is demonstrated using a long-term monitoring (LTM) application, LTM combines the spatial redundancy and geostatistical approaches to monitoring design. The LTM application (Simulation for the migration of perchloroethylene plume) demonstrates that algorithms can serve as interfaces between the human decision process and engineered water resources systems.
