STATE OF THE ART IN ORGANIC PIPING SYSTEMS: ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR AVOIDING INTERNAL CORROSION

A review of the organic materials used in drinking water distribution systems is presented in relation to their specific application. Organic materials are obviously resistant to corrosion but, before using them, care must be taken to control the possibility that materials do not degrade the water quality by leaching substances. Future aspect of the European Regulation for Drinking Water Construction Products and the next European Approval Scheme are developed.
