SOIL MOISTURE PROFILE MODEL FOR TWO-LAYERED SOIL BASED ON SHARP WETTING FRONT APPROACH
Development of a practical soil moisture model. Description of reliable estimates of infiltration rates and volumetric soil moisture profiles in a two layered soil. Numerical experiments are conducted in order to gain a better understanding of the model behavior under a variety of situations. The finite-difference and time steps are used to solve the richards equation. Comparison of time-water content obtained with Richards equation and with conceptual model. Using of infiltration and rainfall rates to compute evolution in time of soil moisture.
