SLUDGE TREATMENT BY OZONATION ? EVALUATION OF FULL-SCALE RESULTS

Alternative process for sludge treatment (mass reduction): oxidation by ozonation. This paper presents two full-scale experiments of ozonation of sludge (for aerobic and anaerobic stabilisation with a reference system without ozonation in both cases). Finally the mass reduction potential of ozonation is higher compared to other methods; but for economic ozone application cost reduce is a necessity.
