THE SBR AND ITS BIOFILM APPLICATION POTENTIALS
Biofilms and their application to SBR systems are reviewed. The SBR as a sink-source system; degradation of thio-glycolic acid; treatment of an ammonium-rich wastewater with an SBR filled with zeolite granules as a cation exchanger. A granular activated carbon SBBR and membrane aeration to treat volatile wastes such as benzene/2-chlorophenol - phenol/trichloroethene. The cultivation of aerobic granules in SBR systems to optimise wastewater treatment.
