REAL-TIME FLOOD FORECASTING WITH THE USE OF INADEQUATE DATA

Development of a flood forecasting scheme made up of a rainfall forecasting model. A conceptual rainfall-runoff model and a stochastic error model of the arma family for error correction forecast. Updating on a daily basis through the recursive least squares algorithm. Illustration with 2 well known models (US national weather service river forecast service and tank from Greece).
