Pretreatment of water before membrane filtration. In order to control the biofouling during the filtration of water through a membrane, different pretreatments are proposed: biological treatments, activated carbon, iron oxide coated sand, prechlorination? Each process is studied and discussed in term of diminution of fouling layer.
