PRE-NITRIFICATION BY ENCAPSULATED NITRIFIERS - A POSSIBILITY FOR SELF-SUFFICIENT ENERGY OPERATION OF DOMESTIC WWTPs

This paper aims at an alternative cost-effective nitrogen and COD elimination process dealing with a conventional two step nitrification process by encapsulated nitrifying micro-organisms, which seems to be more suitable for low ammonia concentration levels such as in sewage.
