OCCURRENCE OF "CRYPTOSPORIDIUM" OOCYSTS AND "GIARDIA" CYSTS IN A CONVENTIONAL WATER PURIFICATION PLANT

In this study, a recently developed concentration system (Microbe Sampler) was adopted for concentrating water samples based on the results of evaluation conducted prior to monitoring. The purpose was to examine the levels of cryptosporidium oocyst and giardia cysts in raw and large volumes of filtering water and to estimate their removal efficiency in a conventionnal water purification process.
