Nitrogen fixation in the activated sludge treatment of thermomechanical pulping wastewater: effect of dissolved oxygen
Nitrification of pulp industry wastewater. An activated sludge was carried out in a pilot plant during 15 months to remove BOD, COD, ammonia and phosphorus of an industrial wastewater. The dissolved oxygen level ranges from 0.3 to 2.2 mg/L. The performances are given as a function of the pollutant loads applied and the operating conditions.
