N STORAGE AND CYCLING IN VEGETATION OF A FORESTED WETLAND : IMPLICATIONS FOR WATERSHED N PROCESSING
Quantification of the pools anf fluxes of N in wetland vegetation (comparatively to upland vegetation) and soil in the Adirondack Mountain of New York (USA) - The majority of N storage occured in forest soils and wetland peat deposits, and the greater annual N-uptake for wetland than for upland vegetation - Smaller annual N-storage was observed in peat, and was due to low peat excretion rates.
