MOLECULAR CHARACTERIZATION OF THE MICROBIAL COMMUNITY STRUCTURE IN TWO ACTIVATED SLUDGE SYSTEMS FOR THE ADVANCED TREATMENT OF DOMESTIC EFFLUENTS
Bacteria population and domestic wastewater treatment. In an anoxic/oxic activated sludge used to biologically remove phosphorus, analysis of DNA are performed in order to approach the molecular characterization of the microorganism community. Several polyphosphate-accumulating organisms are responsible of these mechanisms.
