MODELLING SEWER PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Use of an hybrid data-driver modelling technique called the Evolutionary Polynomial Regression (EPR) for correlating the number of sewer blockages and collapses to a number of numerical sewer attributes. The EPR technique is applied to an historical failure data available for the two United Kingdom sewer systems. The symbolic and parsimonious formulae returned by the EPR are easily comprehensible and could be potentially generalized for similar systems.
