MODEL IDENTIFICATION BY SPACE-TIME DISAGGREGATION : A CASE STUDY FROM EASTERN AUSTRALIA
A disaggregation approach is suggested for the task of modelling hydrological responses within a spatially and temporally variable environment. Responses of observed catchments with large-scale environmental characteristics. The approach is firsly used to determine the utility of physical catchment data and to analyse the compartmentalization of soil water storage and secondly to the temporal disaggregation of the rainfall -runoff record into cold-wet (La Nina) and warm-dry (El Nino)phases of the ENSO.
