MODEL-BASED DESIGN OF HORIZONTAL SUBSURFACE FLOW CONSTRUCTED TREATMENT WETLANDS: A REVIEW

This paper reviews design models for constructed treatment wetlands. The author presents models ranging from simple rules of thumb and regression equation to well-known first-order models, Monod-type equations and more complex models. A case study illustrates the variability and uncertainty of the predictions.
