IRON RELEASE FROM CORRODED UNLINED CAST-IRON PIPE

Iron in water from corroded pipe. Iron ions were measured in corroded iron pipe networks. The iron concentrations are correlated to the water quality of water and especially alkalinity, turbidity, pH, phosphate levels. Effects of disinfectants (ozone) were also determined.
