INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN WATER AND SANITATION PROJECTS : LESSONS FROM PROJECTS IN AFRICA, ASIA AND SOUTH AMERICA

Eight drinking water and sanitation supply and three integrated water resources management (IWRM) projects from seven developping country are presented. They are reviewed to identify how they incorporated IWRM principles. The review cover project from the micro-catchment (700 people, 900ha) to a whole river basin (1,5 milion people, 4300 km2).
