Biological reactor for organic and nitrogen removal. For domestic wastewater treatment, horizontal flow anaerobic and radial flow aerobic reactors are studied. The systems are packed with polyurethane foam. The efficiencies are more than 90 % for COD removal and 97 % for nitrification. A model based on first order kinetic, Monod type kinetic and reactions in series.
