THE INFLUENCE OF DISTRIBUTED INPUT DATA ON THE HYDROLOGICAL MODELLING OF MONTHLY RIVER FLOW REGIMES IN WEST AFRICA

MAHE G. / OUEDRAOGO M. / PATUREL J. E. / et al. - ARTICLE DE PERIODIQUE - 2003
Comparison between two conceptual semi-distributed hydrological models (GR2M and BVM) over 7 Western Africa gagged river basins. Analysis of the influence of input data series quality over model performances: spatial density and quality of precipitation data series, type of potential evapotranspiration models, maps of soil water storage capacity. GR2M appears more robust. Both models show that nature and origin of data has as much impact as data spatial density.
