IMPROVING SEDIMENT DISCHARGE PREDICTION FOR OVERBANK FLOWS

Application of stream power theory to experimental data for sediment transport during overbank flow obtained from the large-scale UK flood Channel Facility and the Small-Scale Ulster Channel. Comparisons between different velocity calculation methods, and between computed and measured sediment discharge. The Yang formula used with accurate velocity prediction method gave the better results.
