THE IMPORTANCE OF A HYDROLOGICAL RESEARCH FRAMEWORK FOR WATER BALANCE STUDIES IN MOUNTAIN BASINS

Diverse range of topics and research areas on water balance studies in mountain basins (2001 EGS session in Nice and 2002 annual meeting of the German hydrological working group in Berlin). This article presents both the success and the emerging difficulties (experimental methods: for example access to electricity) and shortcomings in different research fields (GIS).
