HYDRAULIC MODELING OF AN AUTOMATIC UPSTREAM WATER-LEVEL CONTROL GATE
A new model for an automatic upstream water level control gate (Begemann or flap gate). The gate model is designed to be included in a hydraulic simulation model. The mathematical model is validated on experimental data from a small-scale gate and on other data from the literature. The model is very accurate at estimating the values at equilibrium, and it gives a satisfying response.
